This is a great holiday. Our 3 year old loved it. We stayed for 4 nights. There are some great attractions nearby which we would recommend doing. We visited White Post Farm and Rufford Country Park. There is also Wheelgate Park for slightly older children. We would recommend visiting a few places during your stay. Staff on site were very friendly. Mrs K, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire 26 March 2011
A beautiful setting! The lodges are set discretely amongst the trees. Plenty to do in surrounding area. A tranquil break that won't break the bank! Mrs H, Nuneaton, Warwickshire 15 March 2011
Lovely setting next to the country park in easy reach of Mansfield and amenities and a real forest experience provided with the small & cosy cabins and of course, the great log burners making a few days away both peaceful and relaxing. Miss D, Nuneaton, Warwickshire 01 March 2011
Beautiful location and lovely accommodation. Plenty to do for everyone especially our 3 young children who loved every minute of the holiday. We will definitely be returning to this park and visiting others in the Hoseason's catalogue. Mrs H, Halifax, West Yorkshire 29 January 2011
Highly recommended for families who like the outdoor way of life. Ideal for toddlers who like to roam! The forest is perfect and as vehicles are not allowed into the forest is a safe environment for children and toddlers. My daughter loved the archery. Would like to come back in the summer and make use of the barbeques. Overall a very different and unique break. Mr W, South Ockendon, Essex 09 January 2011
The surroundings were beautiful, very peaceful, access to Tesco's was fab. Mrs B, Skelmersdale, Lancashire 12 November 2010
We stayed here for 3 days and wished we had stayed longer. The place was fantastic, Sherwood Forest was so peaceful, and our 8 year old loved playing in the woods. There are lots of things to do, and the Maid Marion log cabin was clean and comfortable. What a bargain for the price and I would stay again !!!! Mrs B, Skelmersdale, Lancashire 05 November 2010
We had a fantastic time and didn't leave the site at all, well only the trips to Tesco! We made good use of the pool & although it stipulates that only 16 people are allowed in at any one time, we never had an issue, most of the time there was only about 6 - 8 in the pool. Archery classes with John are a must, my son will now be taking up archery. The park was clean & well kept and the cabins were clean & cosy. Thanks for a great holiday, we'll be back! Mrs V, Pevensey, East Sussex 31 October 2010

We have had a wonderful time, and the staff were very very friendly and helpful which is what we where looking for as first time parents with a 7 month old baby. The highlight of the holiday was hiring the pool for our sole use, and there was plenty to do. Mrs. J, ANNAN 27 June 2009

The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were always on hand to recommend somewhere to go or a place to eat. The park was peaceful but also had plenty to do. Sherwood Castle Holiday Forest is a great get away for a long weekend or even a week. The cabins looked very picturesque nestling in the forest and they were well furnished and clean.
